Deep groove ball bearings
With thousands of variations available, it's no wonder the deep groove ball bearing is the most widely used of all ball bearings. These bearings have low friction and are optimized for low noise and low vibration, which enables them to run at high rotational speeds. They can accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions and are easy to mount, whilst requiring less maintenance than other bearing types.
Thrust ball bearings
Single direction thrust ball bearings take thrust loads in one direction only, they consist of a shaft washer, a housing washer and a ball and cage thrust assembly. Double direction thrust ball bearings are suitable for accommodating axial forces in both directions. They consist of one shaft washer, two housing washers and two ball and cage thrust assemblies. The housing washers and ball and cage thrust assemblies are identical to those of the single direction bearings.
Angular contact ball bearings
Angular contact ball bearings have the ability to accommodate both radial and axial loads simultaneously, making them ideal for applications which require combined load carrying capacity. These bearings are commonly found in demanding applications such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes and machine tool spindles.
Single row angular contact bearings can typically accommodate axial load in only one direction. If you require axial load capacity in both directions, you can choose to mount a pair of angular contact ball bearings, or alternativelty you could consider a double row angular contact ball bearing, which can accommodate axial load in both directions.
Self Aligning Ball Bearings are available in various designs including: open, sealed, tapered bore c/w adapter sleeve and also an extended inner ring version with special bore tolerances for applications employing commercial ground shafting.
